Pickem poker is unline any other video poker game. In the beginning, you are only dealt four cards. You must keep the first two cards, and you have a choice on the second pair of cards. On this second pair you must keep one card, but can’t keep both. You are then dealt one card to replace the card you didn’t keep, plus you’re dealt the fifth card. This is the final hand that scores. Sound confusing? It’s not that bad, and is a pretty fun variation of your standard video poker game.

Since your card-holding choices are limited in pickem poker, the payouts are much better than in a standard video poker game. For instance, to regain your bet, you must only hit nines or better, instead of jacks or better. And the royal flush pays a kick-ass 6000 credits.
